The right headend station for your application

GSS headend stations allow you to receive satellite (DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-S2X), terrestrial (DVB-T), and cable (DVB-C) signals for professional channel preparation and streaming applications.

The DVB Common Interface (CI) and multiplex functions allow pay TV channels to be decrypted centrally and programs to be sorted into new channel assignments or, thanks to program filters, services for data reduction to be switched off directly.

The right choice for every application: You can obtain the head ends in different designs and for different areas of application. For example the 19″ headends as IPTV source for hospitality projects, data loggers and transcoding servers as well as compact industrial appliances with active and passive cooling for DVB-C modulation for feeding into coax networks in residential buildings.

GSS Smart Server

High-performance 19” headend station

The official successor to the GSS. lamina: This server-based headend station forms the interface between reception technology and IT. Equipped with up to 32 DVB-S/S2/S2X tuners, optional HLS input routing to SPTS (UDP/RTP) and up to 24 DVB-C output channels (depending on the model), the Smart Server allows maximum flexibility for your reception system. Stream live TV, decrypted pay TV channels, HTTP live streams (HLS) from data centers, and up to 10 custom Media Player channels in continuous loop to your IPTV network. Simultaneous modulation of the services in DVB-C is possible with the hybrid options. The proven intuitiveness of the HTML GUI guides you through the settings and offers a variety of useful features, such as loading configurations for mobile reception equipment on ships, generating program lists for a wide range of TV and set-top box manufacturers, as well as filtering services. When an Internet connection is available, the Smart Server can be accessed and managed worldwide via OpenVPN.

GSS Smart Compact

Compact and innovative: HLS/SRT input routing included

The new smart Compact headend station operates on a specially designed industrial appliance. The active and passive cooling combination guarantees smooth continuous operation. Depending on the variant, the Smart Compact outputs 60 SPT streams (UDP/RTP) and 16x MPT streams, in addition to converting up to 16 DVB-S2X transponders to DVB-C. The routing of 3 HTTPS-Live-Streams or SRT to IP streams and/or DVB-C is possible without additional licenses. With these features, the Smart Compact product series is not only a successor to the GSS.compact STC 4-16 – it also opens up new possibilities for the distribution of picture and sound for residential construction and small cable networks.

Modular DVB-Gateway (1HE / 4HE)

The chassis and modules of the DMM series form a modular DVB-to-IP solution. The modules of the DMM-221 series are equipped with 2 independent tuners for the reception of DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2 or DVB-C per variant. The DMM-421 modules allow the reception of DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2 or DVB-C via 4 independent tuners. In addition to the TS/IP output, a variety of other outputs such as ASI, HDMI and CVBS are supported. The IRD contains a H.265 (HEVC), H.264 (AVC) and MPEG-2 decoder. Two DVB Common Interfaces (CI) for Conditional Access Systems (CAS) are available per module for decoding multiple pay TV services. Hot-swap receiver modules and a redundant power supply in the DMM-110-FR chassis make the DVB gateway a perfect component in your IPTV reception system.

ENC-500-HDMI

HD/SD/4K H.264 and MJPEG encoder

The ENC-400 – a fanless HD/SD H.264 A video encoder for transmitting multiple streams to different destinations with different bit rates and protocols. The built-in frame synchronizer guarantees stable signal processing. Both inputs provide a looped output and can be used as redundant or to transmit two individual input signals. In addition to the latest H.264 The encoding technology of the ENC-400 also supports the older MJPEG format for live streaming and recording. Its low weight as well as the compact and fanless aluminum housing also make the device portable and not least therefore the ideal solution for broadcasting, IPTV and webcasting.

HD/SD H.265 (HEVC) and H.264 Encoder

Designed specifically for IPTV and live streaming applications, the ENC-500 encoder is the ideal solution for distributing individual computer DVI signals over networks or the Internet. By encoding in H.265 HEVC, it is possible to further reduce the required data rate and transmit it securely and permanently even through very limited Internet connections. The possible implementations of the encoder are medical, military and other security-related applications in control rooms or training applications where HDMI/DVI signals in high resolution from medical instruments and cameras, from radar systems, digital signage players or any other desktop application need to be shared, published, distributed or recorded.

MC-Screen

Universal H.264 desktop encoding for standard IP networks

MC-SCREEN encodes any local desktop and screen application such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, or web pages. High resolutions are supported in order to reproduce texts, graphics and fine image content in detail. In addition, MC-SCREEN transmits both unicast and multicast streams, which are encoded as MPEG-2 SD/HD and H.264 SD/ HD. All output streams are ISO standard compliant transport streams. MC-SCREEN is a purely software-based encoder, developed for PCs and laptops without the need for a framegrabber.

Additional functions include: Text/date/time/logo overlay, as well as scaling and screen resolution conversion. Streaming desktop content for digital signage purposes is another conceivable application.

The Teracue Application Cloud (TAC) combines the functions of a digital router and a powerful transcoder. A single application that handles video and audio codecs as well as a wide variety of transport protocols.

The TAC provides control over routing and transcoding of incoming and outgoing live SD/HD/4K streams in the same intuitive, easy-to-use interface. Maximum failure-safety is guaranteed by the client/server-based system, which can be designed as required and expanded at any time.

User and role management enables the detailed definition of individual authorizations. This personalization ensures that users can only view, modify, create, or delete the content that is shared with them. An innovative preview area displays the most important parameters, such as bitrate, FPS, and input and output streams, at a glance.

Teracue Application Cloud

With the TAC, a system can be designed, operated and adapted at any time according to individual customer requirements. The Teracue Application Cloud offers the convenience of an all-in-one router and transcoder. Various input and output protocols are supported and can be played back through the integrated user-managed web player. The application is flexible: it can support both an organization’s own streaming platform or the foundational editing of streams in resolutions and codes. Due to its modular design, the platform can be expanded at any time in terms of overall computing power by adding additional agents (appliances).

SHLS 710/720

Live-TV-transcoder with an adaptive HLS-output

The 19″ 1U transcoder converts up to 10 SPTS streams from HEVC (H.265) to MPEG-4 (H.264) or up to 20 SPTS streams from MPEG-4 (H.264) to MPEG-2 (H.262). The transcoding processes specially designed for variable bit rates enable central processing of streams in conjunction with multiplexers and headends for cable network operators and multisubscriber systems. In HLS mode, input signals can be transcoded and routed to adaptive HLS. The integrated Media-Player additionally streamt up to 10 channels per SPTS. Thanks to the integrated file converter, content can be easily uploaded to the device via HTML-GUI.
